Con Die wiedergefundenen Meisterwerke, i S.A.D.O. presentano un lavoro che attraversa scrittura, improvvisazione, teatro sonoro e ricerca imbrica. Il disco raccoglie materiali legati all'opera del Maestro immaginario Johann Fritz Tannhäuser e li restituisce in una forma musicale essenziale, fisica, volutamente fuori dalle categorie più immediate. Il disco testimonia il concerto che la formazione ha tenuto a Vercelli (Italia) Chiesa di S. Pietro Martire, il 7 novembre 2005 nell’ambito della rassegna culturale Suoni Diversi.
I S.A.D.O. sono un gruppo di ricerca sonora che incarna la propria sperimentazione fra generi e stili: musica contemporanea, jazz d'avanguardia, elettronica, parola scenica e pratiche di improvvisazione.
L'obiettivo non è fondere tutto in una formula, ma lasciare che linguaggi diversi convivano nello stesso spazio di ascolto. Il disco documenta un'esecuzione realizzata nella Cappella di S. Pietro Martire a Vercelli. L'ambiente, l'organico e la natura dei materiali contribuiscono a un ascolto che procede per quadri: momenti più scritti, aperture improvvise, tensioni teatrali, frammenti lirici e passaggi di forte densità sonora.
La presenza di strumenti come Ondes Martenot (sampler), cello, piano, Kielflügel, percussioni, voce recitante, soprano, bansuri e basso a cinque corde colloca il progetto in un territorio volutamente mobile. Il disco contiene anche sezioni recitate: le relative traduzioni sono disponibili online, in modo che l'ascolto possa essere seguito anche sul piano testuale. Non un esercizio di stile, ma una ricerca su forma, memoria e presenza sonora.

With Die wiedergefundenen Meisterwerke, S.A.D.O. present a work spanning composition, improvisation, sound theatre and timbral research. The album brings together material associated with the work of the fictitious Maestro Johann Fritz Tannhäuser, recasting it in an essential, physical musical form, deliberately outside the most obvious categories. The album documents the concert performed by the ensemble at the Church of S. Pietro Martire in Vercelli, Italy, on 7 November 2005, as part of the Suoni Diversi cultural series. S.A.D.O. are a sound research group whose experimentation moves between genres and styles: contemporary music, avant-garde jazz, electronics, theatrical spoken word and improvisational practices.
The aim is not to merge everything into a formula, but to allow different languages to coexist within the same listening space. The album documents a performance in the Chapel of S. Pietro Martire in Vercelli. The setting, the ensemble and the nature of the material shape a listening experience that unfolds in tableaux: more fully composed moments, sudden openings, theatrical tensions, lyrical fragments and passages of intense sonic density.
The presence of instruments such as Ondes Martenot (sampler), cello, piano, Kielflügel, percussion, spoken voice, soprano, bansuri and five-string bass places the project in a deliberately fluid territory. The album also contains spoken sections; translations are available online, allowing the work to be followed on a textual level as well. Not an exercise in style, but an exploration of form, memory and sonic presence.
